Medical technology encompasses a wide range of health care products used to diagnose, monitor, or treat the diseases and other conditions known to affect humans. The bar for demonstrating differentiated clinical and economic value for medical technologies is rising. The new “value bar” forces med tech companies to rethink how they can effectively create a product that will meet this ever-increasing set of expectations.

In this month’s Inventor Forum, we will hear from Paul Radspinner, founder, president, and CEO of FluGen, a Madison-based biotech company focusing on developing an efficacious vaccine that shows promise as a “universal” influenza vaccine. Radspinner will share what it takes to have a technology ready to enter the market space through licensing or start-up, using FluGen as the case study.
